Following the release of their self-titled EP in 2004, the chilean gothic/symphonic metal band Denun, gained the attention of fans and media right away. They got a distribution deal with Belgian Label "Nothingness Records" and "Consouling Sounds" and made a limited edition of this EP for Europe.
A few months later, Denun recorded their debut album "Toluken" in 2005, and after the release, the band continued building their long history of live shows, appearing in many festivals, and also competing in band contests, winning the cycles "NON" (2008), "Desorbitados" (2005) and "El Living” (2005), and being a semi-finalist band in the "Yamaha Band Festival 2007".
In 2008 the band shot their first official video clip of the song "Distant Memories", included on a single with the same name. This work was very well received by the media and the audience.
The next year, Denun was nominated for best band with lyrics in Spanish in the "Female Metal Awards 2009", winning the third place by people´s choice, being the only band from Central and South America receiving this nomination.
In 2011 the band recorded a new video clip for an upcoming single: "Beyond These Lands" that will appear in Denun`s upcoming album, to be released by the end of the year.
Some of Denuns songs, highlight Chilean mythology and some of Chile´s native peoples, like the Mapuche and selkna'm (Ona).
